The discussions continued and gave shape to setting up an idea of MMEC INCUBATION INITIATIVE. This baby is born out lot brain storming sessions between the Principal, Dr N B Bilgi and partners of this INITIATIVE.

  1. Shri Praksh Mugli,                  Enerzi Microwave Pvt Ltd
  2. Shri Ramna Kamat,                Rachana Infotech
  3. Shri Ajit Patil                             CredenenceIS
  4. Shri Harshad Joglekar         Uproot Labs.

I have taken liberty in troubling our partners through mail, phone calls and whatsapp on most of the working days and holidays.

We had initial discussion with Prakash and his team and our team of of MMEC staff. We came with some ideas and suggestions and process to be followed.

A date was finalized for the addressing by all four partners of initiative the VIII sem students. SMS were sent to the students and on 20/1/2015. It was well conducted event which was covered by Print media elaborately. A date for written test and interview was finalized and on 20th Feb same was conducted from 11AM to 6PM in college campus. Students were selected by the companies for the projects.

Subsequently a industry visit to Enerize Microwave at Udyambag was conducted, many staff and students joined.

The Projects have been assigned by the companies to the students. The Painting and renovation of the building has started already and we hope do the opening of the same may be this month end or beginning of next month.

I am thankful to our Chairman Madam for allocating the whole building of staff quarters to be converted into Incubation centre.

This particular meeting is arranged so that students can get to know about the companies and selection process and about the project before term starts.

We would like students of MMEC get the feel of industry projects and feel of industry before they join their jobs. This could be also a stepping stone for their future job also. Our main focus is that students should learn some through the project but also we would like to CURB the HABIT of the students from buying readymade projects by paying money and at the end not learning anything.

We at MMEC propose to start A State-of-the-art Incubation centers to nurture the new ventures in the area of Computer Science, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering. The Incubation centre focuses on supporting the companies which may start-ups or well established companies in the areas of mentioned above.

There are incubation centers in many Engineering colleges but most successful one is working in BVB Engineering College. We would like to follow the model of BVB and also succeed in our maiden The centre aims of MMEC is at fostering innovative research and Entrepreneurial activities in technology and engineering based areas. It should provide a suitable platform to start up project for Entrepreneurs and to convert their innovative ideas into high quality student project works. Through this initiative we would like to foster three things.

1. Mentoring

Mentoring is to support and encourage people to manage their own learning in order that they may maximise their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance and become the person they want to be.

Mentoring is a powerful personal development and empowerment tool. It is an effective way of helping people to progress in their careers and is becoming increasing popular as its potential is realized.

It is a partnership between two people (mentor and mentee) normally working in a similar field or sharing similar experiences. It is a helpful relationship based upon mutual trust and respect.

2. Entrepreneurial Promotion /Awareness Programs

The goal of Intern-ship is to provide the knowledge and skills needed to the students to make them industry ready. The idea should deals with the topics of innovation, technology transfer, industry analysis, and competitive strategy.

3. Technical Training

Technical training is the process of teaching individuals how to more accurately and thoroughly perform the technical components of their jobs. Training includes technology applications, products, sales and service tactics, and more. Technical skills are job-specific as opposed to soft skills, which are transferable. Technical training enhances the skill set of an individual that are needed when working in a company to complete various tasks and activities. Students or Individuals can complete technical training before entering the workforce or engage in training at their place of employment, depending on the options available.

The time, energy and money invested in technical training can provide significant career and earning benefits for individuals, and can improve productivity for companies. Rapid changes in technology result in a continuous need for employees with the knowledge and skills to make new and evolving technologies provide value to the organization. Individuals who stay on top of technological advancements through training and certification programs can experience greater career opportunities than those who do not continuously develop their knowledge.
