Celebration of Pi Day on March 14th 2025

Today, we celebrate Pi Day on March 14th because the date, 3/14, represents the first three digits of the mathematical constant π (pi) — 3.14. Pi is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, a value that remains constant for every circle. This day not only honors the importance of mathematics in our lives but also encourages curiosity and learning.

Thanks to Prof. Santosh Dharnatti, Sudha Patil, Ravi & Chetana ( all from Applied Science dept.) for making such events possible.

A special thank you to Mr. Ajit Joshi from Vijayapura who was the resource person for the day. He has not only shared valuable insights about Pi but also solved some challenging aptitude questions, making the session both engaging and educational.
